Medicare in the Workplace

Presented by Reginald Brown

Reginald Brown Bio: 

During the past several years Mr. Reginald Brown has been dedicated to the Medicare/Medicaid market, where he has had the pleasure to have helped hundreds of Medicare eligible beneficiaries. In addition, he has had  exposure to the Final Expense market where he has also helped many people protect their ‘loved ones’.

Prior to that Reginald  most recently served as the Director of Distribution Channel Interface at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. In this role, he held direct responsibility for developing strategic, mutually-beneficial relationships with Highmark’s external distribution channels, specifically, the Principals of 165 General Agencies that sell and service Highmark’s products and services. In addition, Mr. Brown also held responsibility for helping these Agencies manage and grow their Highmark books of business.

Mr. Brown was also responsible for ensuring that external distribution channels operated within the compliance standards that are set forth by both the Pennsylvania Insurance Department and by Highmark, Inc.

During Mr. Brown’s 14-year tenure with Highmark, he advanced through management positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Small Group Sales, Mid-Market Sales, Major Account Sales and the Director of Distribution Channel Interface.

Mr. Brown earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Michigan State University. He also holds many insurance industry credentials including the F.A.H.M. (Fellow, Academy for Healthcare Management), the C.H.C (Certified Health Consultant), and the P.A.H.M. (Professional, Academy Health Care Management) designations.

Additionally, Mr. Brown is passionate about his community charitable efforts where he and his wife, Cherrie, have assisted grieving families at the Highmark Caring Place for the past 14 years.  Mr. Brown also serves as a Board Member for Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital and Facility.
