Butler Human Resources Association (BHRA) is an affiliated chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 200,000 individual members, the Society's mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available. As an influential voice, the Society's mission is to advance the human resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy.

We meet the second Tuesday of every month for lunch meetings from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Our meetings are comprised of networking opportunities with other local HR professionals. Also, we provide speakers on HR topics such as legal issues, organizational and individual performance management, strategic management, HR Best Practices and other areas relevant to the practice of Human Resources.

The MLHRA is the Mercer and Lawrence County Human Resources Association, a subchapter of the Butler Human Resources Association.  The MLHRA was formed in July 2018 from what was previously known as the WPHRA or the Western PA HR Association which has been active going back to 1943. The initial purpose to serve as a common good to all industries, to create friendly relationships, and to afford an opportunity to interchange ideas for the betterment of all concerned is very much the same as today purpose and expands the entire Mercer and Lawrence County and surrounding areas.

The MLHRA will meet the fourth Thursday of every month of lunch meetings from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. We encourage you to reach out to any of the Chairs of the MLHRA with your questions, input, and suggestions.
